Edge Commercial Finance Ltd (company number 16676452, registered in England and Wales) is the controller of personal data collected through this website and while arranging finance for you. Identity and contact details (name, company, email, phone); details of your finance requirement (the property, purpose, amounts and timescales); financial information you choose to give us, such as accounts, bank statements, asset and liability statements and credit history; identification documents lenders require; our correspondence with you; and limited technical data (such as IP address, browser and pages visited) needed to run and secure this website. If you are an introducer, we also hold your firm details and the cases you refer.

We use personal data where it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform our agreement with you; for our legitimate interests in arranging finance, running and protecting our business and responding to enquiries; to comply with legal obligations, including record keeping and lender anti-money-laundering requirements; and, for non-essential cookies, with your consent.

To place your case we share relevant information with lenders and their underwriters, valuers, solicitors, packagers and other professionals involved in the transaction, and lenders may carry out credit and identity checks. We also use trusted service providers for email, hosting, document storage, appointment booking (Cal.com) and IT, under contracts that require them to protect your data. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or approved safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

We keep enquiry and transaction records for as long as we need them to arrange and support your finance and then normally for six years after the case completes or our relationship ends, to deal with any questions, complaints or legal claims. Enquiries that do not proceed are normally deleted within two years. After that, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask for it to be deleted or for its use to be restricted, to object to our use of it, and to data portability where it applies. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.
