Our Fees

How we are paid for arranging your finance, when fees become payable, and what to expect on every case.

[DRAFT — REPLACE WITH LEGAL COPY]

How we are paid

[DRAFT] Edge Commercial Finance is paid in two ways: a broker fee agreed with you in writing at the outset, and a commission paid by the lender on completion of the facility. Both are disclosed to you before you commit to proceed.

[DRAFT] Commission from the lender does not increase the cost of your facility. It is paid by the lender out of the arrangement fee or margin they would charge in any case.

When the broker fee becomes payable

[DRAFT] Our broker fee is payable on successful completion of the facility, typically deducted from loan proceeds by the solicitor on drawdown. Any exception (for example a modest commitment fee on complex or bespoke cases) is agreed with you in writing before any work is undertaken.

Refundability

[DRAFT] Because our broker fee is payable on completion, it does not arise if the facility does not complete. Where a commitment or work fee is agreed in advance, the terms governing refundability are set out in the fee agreement you sign.

Typical fee range or basis

[DRAFT] Broker fees are typically calculated as a percentage of the facility, subject to a minimum, and vary with deal complexity, size and the amount of packaging work required. We quote a specific fee for your case before you commit.

Lender commission disclosure

[DRAFT] We disclose the commission we receive from the lender on every case, in writing, before completion. If a term or rate is refreshed during the transaction, we refresh the disclosure so you always see the final commission figure alongside the final terms.
