The scaffolding yard — the asset most lenders won't touch
Specialist security, placed with the right lender

A real client transaction, anonymised. Client-identifying details have been removed; lender names and figures are shown where the client has agreed.
The directors of an established, successful scaffolding company needed to raise finance secured on their operating yard.
A scaffolding yard is exactly the kind of security mainstream lenders decline on sight: specialist commercial land, limited comparable evidence, and a trading business attached. This is a deal that lives or dies on how it is presented to the right lender.
The case was taken to Together's commercial team. The trading accounts and certificates the underwriters needed were packaged up front, and the valuation and underwriting process was managed through to solicitor stage.
Working with the connected advice firms in our network, the directors were also introduced to a protection adviser who quoted shareholder protection for both of them — cover most business owners only discover they need when it's too late.
A deal most lenders would have declined on the headline asset was underwritten on its real merits and progressed to solicitor stage.
